ARUN KUMAAR BALASUBRAMANIAN is a sustainability and decarbonisation leader with over 31 years of global experience, primarily across the UK and Europe. He currently serves as Chief Sustainability Officer at Elfonze Technologies, where he is building a technology-enabled ESG and sustainability consulting practice, and continues as Director at ONRGY Services.

Previously, Arun was Global Director – Sustainability at Switch Mobility Limited, leading sustainability strategy for electric mobility solutions. Before this, as Asia Pacific Director – Energy & Sustainability at CBRE, he developed and executed science-based fast-track Net Zero roadmaps, enabling multinational clients to achieve carbon and water neutrality ahead of schedule. Earlier, as Managing Director – Asia at GSH Group, he established Sustainable Facilities Management and Efficiency-as-a-Service models across Asia. He also spent over a decade with Dalkia and Veolia UK as COO, developing low-carbon energy solutions.

Arun is a Chartered Engineer (UK), Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE), Fellow of the Institute of Directors (FIoD), and a Member of the Energy Institute (MEI). He holds a Master's in Energy Conservation & Management and is passionate about technology-driven sustainability, decarbonisation, and ESG-led transformation.
